Craig is constantly striving to be the best... not just very good or even excellent but *the best*. The result of this is his budding depression and possible suicide, as he percieves his situation (he's not the best student in his class) as the end of the world.
my book connects to excellence because, Tracy and Erin worked very hard and they earned every penny that they got. Both of them strive for excellence, and they both worked very hard to keep there family together.
Well none of the kids in this class is very excellent but the do "Strive for excellence" because they all want to get out of their ghetto because they are not happy.
Excellence was a huge player in the life of Bill O'Reilly. Though he came from a modest setting, he rose above and became one of the most successful tv blovigator's in America today. If Bill had not tried so hard, he probably wouldn't be where he is today. He went to Catholic school grades K-12 and Marist College; he later got another degree from Boston College as well. He tried so hard at his studies (later in life...definitely not in the beginning). He took risks and they really changed his life. He continues to strive for TV excellence in getting the facts straight and having no political spin (Fox is the "No Spin Zone" on television today).
I think all the students of Stuyvesant were excellent because they all helped each other cope through losses and trauma and they all had some kind of outlet.
Jack does not care about being excellent so it does not really tie into my book.In the end he might achieve a little excellence in his life but he really does not care about it.
in my book it showed excellence by showing how people gave blood or helped at the school and i thought this really showed how much people can help each other when they feel pain
when i first think of the book with their eyes and 9/11 i do not think of excellence. but then i think of the volunteers that helped with the incident and they were excellent. all of the red cross volunteers and fire fighters were certainly excellent
In Ultra-Marathon Man, Dean strives for excellence by running ultra-marathons, that are more than a marathon. to be excellent, he runs everyday as his training. In the last 10 years, he has run over 3 miles each day except for 5 days!
My book relates to Excellence in the fact that Erin(the main character)decides to change her "pity" attitude towards everyday life by dedicating her time towards studying and making money for her family. Therefore, by doing this Erin is striving for excellence as opposed to moping around and being completely depressed about her parents all the time. Erin does have reason to be depressed but not for her whole entire life!
I think John Griffin tries his best to achieve excellence in all of his situations. He gets called bad names and was provoked, but he kept his cool and didn't fight back
my book was the ultra marathon man and he wanted to be excellent because he was running to give a girl a heart transplant so he ran 200(199) miles to support the transplant and raise $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Randy Pausch is on death row. his exellence strives mainly from the fact he is being strong knowing his ate is soon ahead. he tells about the great times he spent and created the lecture to show his kids how excellent people they can be if they really try.
Excellence was in the book Beneath the Surface a lot. In order for Michael to achieve his goals he had to use excellence, a lot. No one could do as well as he did if they weren't excellent. Excellence can really help.
In the book Miles to Go, Miley shows many times of Excellence. One time was when she was trying out for the part as Hannah Montana. Even though she was a couple years younger than most of the other kids trying out she didn't let that work against her and end the end the result was good. She got the part as Hannah Montana!!!
Excellence in Marley in Me isn't the typical interpretation of excellence. Marley is nowhere near being even a 'good dog' yet he's an excellent pet. His misbehaving doesn't do any good, but he still forms Johns family. he's always an excellent dog, but he's never perfect.
One of the main reasons my book was written was because the main character is trying to strive for excellence as a person. He is trying to regain all the morals he once had, and gain some great new ones from his dying professor. he is trying to learn the really important Things in life, and what to focus on during life.
Marley and Me by. John Grogan: Marley ii not an excellent dog but this book can be connected to excellence because he has and EXCELLENT life. Jenny and John let Marley get it away with a lot more them most dog owners would.
