  1. One of my memoir's themes is overcoming tough situations and learning to not blow things out of proportions; taking situations at face value and learning how to cope.

  8. Hey Amigos!!!!!!!!!!!! My memoir was With Their Eyes and my theme is how when a disaster or tradegy occurs, it unties our country. When 9/11 occured, New York City was joined together to help the situation and everyone understood eachother because they all knew what they were going through.

  9. One of my books themes is that if you try hard enough most of the time you get what you want.Ashley wanted to start a lawsuit against the Mosses, and even though she was rejected many times she kept trying and in the end the lawsuit was accepted.

  11. i read the book with their eyes by the students and teachers of stuyvesant high school and their perspectives of 9/11.

the theme of the book was...
things might be bad some days, but they will get better with time.

the students and teachers talked about how disruptive 9/11 was and how they had to go to a different school at the beginning of the year but that eventually they went back to stuyvesant and everything was better.

  12. The theme of my book was that even though bad stuff to you you cant quit in life. I think this is the theme because even though Ashley is taken from her mother, sees her grandfather shot and sees her brother abused she still manages to have a sane and successful life

  13. One of my memoirs themes is resilience. This is because after all that he goes through (going to prison, smoking hash) he can't give up, in fat he had to try harder to make himself a better life.

  18. In the book Miles To Go by Miley Cyrus the theme is overcoming hard times and to not get stuck on the little things in life. You might think as any actor or singer as having a perfect life but in this book I learned that that isn't true. Miley has gone through some very hard times but she has risen above them and haven't let them get in the way of her career.

  25. In Beneath the Surface one of the themes is to succeed you have to give it your all. In order for Michael to become such a great swimmer he had to give it everything that he had, if he hadn't he wouldn't have made it.

  26. In Marley and Me, one of the main themes is unconditional love. Marley is a terribly behaved dog, and he does some pretty mischievous things in his time. Yet none of these things make John love him any less. He knows that Marley is more important than his furniture, and he couldn't ever imagine life without him.

  27. I think that a good theme in my book is always be yourself. when jack was in jail and talking to the head people he would act as if he was perfect and had no problems on his life. But the head people would give him trouble because they could tell he was acting better than he actually was.

  32. One of the themes that I have decided for my memoir is struggle. I chose this theme because there is a constant struggle that Erin (The main character of my memoir) is going through that she learns to cope with and overcome through the course of the book.
